Elmhirst’s Resort is a family owned and operated year-round Resort business, located on Rice Lake (approximately 25 minutes from Peterborough). Our guests include international travelers, families, groups, and conference delegates. The Housekeeping Team is accountable for general cleanliness of guest cottages, public areas, laundry and guest laundry rooms, meeting rooms, food & beverage outlets.
Housekeeper Responsibilities:
- Ensuring cottages are clean and perfectly staged for guest arrival
- Maid service and towel exchange, refreshing conference rooms
- Laundry of towels, linens, bedding and dining room napkins
- All guest facing areas are clean and free of debris
- Working to standards outlined in company manuals
- Handling special requests (crib deliveries, welcome packages)
- Working as part of the Housekeeping Team in conjunction with other departments
- Working without supervision on occasion
- Keen attention to detail
- Complete spring and fall cleaning in cottages
- Driving company vehicle on property in a responsible manner
- Adhere to a health and safety protocols
- Always display a professional appearance
- Other tasks identified by Supervisor as required
Requirements
- This position requires physical activity (making beds, moving furniture, vacuuming, dusting, lifting laundry from commercial washers to dryers, spring and fall cleaning duties)
- Able to lift 40lbs
- Ability to work part time, 1-2 week days and mandatory Sundays
- Previous experience an asset
