The BC Early Childhood Pedagogies Network (ECPN) is a public forum for the advancement of early childhood pedagogies and the establishment of an accessible provincial network of pedagogists to support early childhood educators in British Columbia through three interconnected streams: CCRR stream, postsecondary institution stream, and Indigenous stream.

The Communications Coordinator:
in collaboration with co-directors and the steering committee, manages a communication strategy that is welcoming and appropriate for a variety of audiences, including educators, families, and children across the province
working closely with co-directors, communications subcommittee, and the curriculum working group, maintains pedagogical content for ECPN projects on the e-learning platform and website, and ensuring quality and consistency among the various communication channels
working closely with co-directors, and the curriculum working group operationalizes effective pedagogical resources for use by pedagogists, educators, and policymakers, including web articles, videos, audio recordings, photography, website imagery, campaign materials, and other special projects as needed
leads the maintenance of the ECPN e-learning platform and website
working closely with ECPN staff who coordinate the design, content and maintenance of ECPN's social media platforms, ensures connections between social media platforms are in place
ensures that tasks are well-managed with high attention to detail with technically effective online pedagogical projects completed
makes sound decisions based on a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
Experience, skills and expertise:

- Masters degree in Social Sciences/Humanities
demonstrated ability to write about pedagogy, curriculum and educational processes from a postfoundational, common worlds approach
in-depth knowledge of principles of writing, including grammar and style, argument, and coherence and attention to detail, proofreading abilities, and an excellent command of the English language
compelling and persuasive communication skills to engage individuals and teams inside and outside ECPN
ability to apply creativity and recommend strategies for engagement initiatives in response to cultural and social trends
demonstrated intercultural competency and knowledge of cross-cultural research and work practices
ability to remain highly motivated, resilient, innovative, and collaborative when faced with challenges
ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate ECPN's events and activities
computer skills with the ability to learn and use relevant software that achieves required outcomes and is in line with best practices
intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat software (Photoshop, Illustrator, lnDesign), content management systems (such as Cascade) and video and audio editing software (e.g., Sony Vega Pro)
project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
familiarity with the programs and services offered by ECPN and of university policies and procedures preferred
