About the Role
Answer Precision Technologies (APT) designs and builds custom automation systems, tooling, and precision components for demanding manufacturing environments. Our projects require tight coordination across engineering, production, quality, and external suppliers.
We are hiring a Project Manager to support the execution of manufacturing projects while owning a defined scope of work. This role reports to the Lead Program Manager and operates with a balanced focus between various projects like build-to-print jobs and more complex automation and tooling programs.
This is a hands-on coordination role with real ownership. You will be responsible for moving work forward, solving problems, and keeping projects aligned across multiple stakeholders. At the same time, you will be exposed to more complex programs, providing a path to grow into full program management responsibility.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing build-to-print manufacturing jobs from order kick-off through production and delivery
- Owning schedules, tracking milestones, and driving on-time execution
- Coordinating across manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and quality
- Managing external vendors including machining, heat treat, finishing, and other outsourced processes
- Maintaining clear project documentation and internal status updates
- Identifying risks, resolving issues, and keeping projects on track
- Other responsibilities as required
In parallel, you will:
- Support the Lead Program Manager on larger automation and tooling programs
- Assist with coordination across more complex, multi-phase builds
- Contribute to planning, scheduling, and execution of higher-value programs
- Gain exposure to customer-facing program management and technical problem-solving
This role sits at the center of execution. You are expected to take ownership of your work while contributing to larger team outcomes.
Growth Path
This role is structured to develop the candidate and the position.
You will start with ownership of smaller jobs while supporting more complex programs. As capability and experience grow, scope will expand to include larger projects, increased customer interaction, and full program ownership.
The expectation is progression through demonstrated performance, not time in role.
