Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shunt Driver-AZ to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely maneuvering freight within our facilities and ensuring efficient movement of goods. This role requires a strong focus on safety, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and commercial driving are highly preferred. The Shunt Driver-AZ plays a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting overall supply chain functions.
Responsibilities
- Shunt trailers and containers to designated locations for loading, unloading, or storage
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate documentation of freight movements and trailer locations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel and drivers to optimize freight flow and operational efficiency
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs when necessary, utilizing automotive repair skills
Experience
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
- Valid AZ license with clean CVOR
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations
Pay: From $29.19 per hour
