We're looking for reliable Dock Workers to join our Mississauga warehouse team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day flow of freight through our dock, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
You'll work closely with drivers and warehouse staff to coordinate loading and unloading activities, communicate updates through Slack, and help maintain an organized operation. We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and who takes pride in ensuring freight is accounted for and moving smoothly through the network.
Location: Courtneypark/Tomken
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Duties:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities at the dock.
- Load and unload trailers as required.
- Communicate with drivers regarding arrivals, departures, and shipment status.
- Use Slack and other technology tools to provide operational updates to the internal team.
- Maintain an organized dock area and support efficient freight flow.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, dock, or logistics experience is an asset.
- Comfortable performing physical work, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Comfortable using smartphones, computers, Slack, and other workplace technology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately track and account for freight.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
