Nutritionist / Registered Dietitian – GI HealthOverview
Prairie Surgical is looking for a compassionate and motivated Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team.
In this role, you will work closely with our gastroenterologists to help patients improve their digestive health through nutrition. You will provide practical advice and personalized nutrition plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions while supporting their long-term health and recovery.

Responsibilities
- Meet with patients referred by our gastroenterologists.
- Assess patients' nutritional needs and digestive health concerns.
- Develop personalized nutrition and meal plans.
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes to improve GI health.
- Support patients with conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, fatty liver disease, celiac disease, constipation, diarrhea, and other digestive disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
- Document patient visits using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Work closely with physicians and clinic staff to provide coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian or qualified Nutritionist (registration preferred where applicable).
- Experience in gastrointestinal nutrition is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused.
- Bilingual skills are considered an asset.
