Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Leasing Agent to join our property management team.
This is initially a full time, 6 month contract, but if you are the right fit for our organization, this role can become a permanent junior property manager position.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
1) Scheduling appointments for viewings on various marketing platforms (Marketplace, Apartments.com etc.)
2) Showing and staging units
3) Ensuring a smooth rental experience for prospective and current tenants. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with reviewing rental applications.
4) The Leasing Agent will play a key role in maintaining high occupancy rates and providing exceptional customer service. Experience with DocuSign, office administration, and sales is highly valued.
5) Report to the Regional Property Manager for final approvals on rental applications
Responsibilities
- Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours to showcase available units
- Manage leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and courtesy
- Process rental applications, verify tenant information, and perform background checks
- Lease processing, and record keeping
- Negotiate lease terms and rental agreements to meet both tenant needs and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, including filing documents and updating tenant information
- Follow up with prospects to convert inquiries into signed leases
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining tenant files
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Experience in property management or leasing is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills including data entry and filing proficiency
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
Pay: $30.00 per hour
