Job Overview
The Specialist SCM Power Projects & Operations is responsible for leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities related to the transition of projects into operations. This role supports both Project and Power Operations teams by optimizing total cost of ownership, mitigating risk, and ensuring operational reliability across assets. Acting as a key liaison between Projects and Operations, the Specialist plays a critical role in managing warranty obligations during project transition and throughout the asset lifecycle. The position is responsible for coordinating, administering, and resolving warranty claims involving OEMs, EPCs, and suppliers to protect commercial interests and support long-term asset performance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead SCM activities associated with project-to-operations transitions, ensuring all warranty terms, obligations, and supporting documentation are effectively transferred to Operations.

Serve as the primary SCM point of contact for warranty-related matters between Project teams, Operations, OEMs, EPC contractors, and suppliers.

Coordinate, manage, and facilitate OEM and EPC warranty claims to ensure timely resolution.

Track, maintain, and organize warranty documentation while providing regular reporting on claim status and outcomes.

Manage the full lifecycle of warranty claims from identification through successful closure.

Interpret and administer supply and service contracts to ensure warranty provisions and commercial entitlements are enforced.

Negotiate warranty-related disputes, claims, and settlements with suppliers and contractors.

Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance related to warranty obligations and service delivery.

Support operational reliability initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on warranty matters.

Collaborate with Legal, Project, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to support project turnover and operational readiness activities.

Support operational spares procurement activities, including identification of requirements, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery coordination to ensure parts availability for operational turnover.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance value throughout the project transition and operational support lifecycle.
Qualifications

Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of Supply Chain Management experience, preferably in Vendor Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, or Warranty Management.

Experience reviewing, negotiating, administering, and executing supply and service contracts.

Strong understanding of warranty management processes, contract interpretation, and supplier performance management.

Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across project, operational, legal, and supplier environments.

Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, energy, utility, or industrial projects is considered an asset.

Minimum of 5 years of renewable energy industry experience preferred.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and commercial focus.
