Your role
Within the Engineering team, the Project Manager will contribute to the development and implementation of capital and infrastructure projects for Yoplait Liberté Canada (YLCC) and will serve as the technical expert for all electrical engineering activities. The Project Manager acts as a conductor in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. He/She is responsible for the proper management of electrical and industrial control projects, including electrical distribution systems (plant power supply, distribution rooms, equipment connections, etc.), instrumentation, and automation (PLC, HMI, industrial networks, etc.).
What you will accomplish daily

Manage all electrical projects, including overall project management: general system design, cost estimation, equipment evaluation and selection, procurement, installation and subcontractor management, commissioning, and performance monitoring.

Provide technical support to engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other stakeholders across various sites, while ensuring the maintenance and supervision of documentation related to insurance and public service requirements.

Maintain close communication between the engineering group and the various plant departments (R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Finance, etc.) as well as corporate technical teams to ensure best practices and support project success.

Ensure the sustainability of installations by integrating design and usage standards based on best practices and technical analyses.

Propose innovative technical solutions to achieve business objectives, with a focus on health and safety, quality, performance, productivity, and environmental responsibility.
What you need to join our team

University degree or technical diploma (DEC) in engineering or a related field.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing electrical and industrial control projects, including electrical distribution systems (plant power supply, distribution rooms, equipment connections, etc.), instrumentation, and automation (PLC, HMI, industrial networks, etc.).

Member of the ''Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec'' (OIQ) (an asset).

More than five years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of regulatory standards in the food sector (GMP, food safety, CFIA) as well as experience with CSA standards.
