Position Summary
The U7–U8 Boys Program Development Manager is responsible for leading Aurora FC's Super 7's and U8 Boys Programs, ensuring a positive, development-focused environment for players, coaches, and families. This role includes both technical and administrative responsibilities, including on-field coaching, player identification and recruitment, coach recruitment and mentorship, parent education, and program administration. The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of Aurora Football Club's Grassroots curriculum while implementing the club's training model and philosophy through age-appropriate training sessions and game-day programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions in alignment with the Ontario Soccer Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) Model.
- Lead and oversee the Super 7's and U8 Boys Programs, including two training sessions and one game per week throughout the outdoor and indoor seasons.
- Implement and promote the Aurora FC training model, curriculum, and style of play.
- Identify and recruit players through House League, Skills Programs, scrimmages, and community programming.
- Recruit, mentor, educate, and evaluate coaches within the program to ensure a consistent player development experience.
- Organize and deliver 2–4 parent education sessions each year to communicate the club's philosophy and player development pathway.
- Manage weekly game-day rosters, player movement, and team balancing within the U7–U8 programs.
- Assist with player assessments, evaluations, and recommendations for future programming.
- Support the planning and administration of program schedules, communications, and seasonal operations.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional environment that reflects Aurora FC's values and expectations.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Director and other technical staff to support the club's long-term player development objectives.
- Commit approximately 10–12 hours per week, including both on-field coaching and off-field administrative responsibilities.
