We are looking for new Dishwashers to join our team at Mamakas Taverna (80 Ossington Ave.). We are looking for both 1 full time and 1 part time dishwasher.
Wage: $17.60 an hour + weekly tipout, free benefits for full time employees after 3 months
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional and proactive support to fellow colleagues
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Schedule: Morning, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience dishwashing or working in a kitchen environment preferred (1 year)
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
