Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal assembly
- Ensure proper food handling and hygiene practices are followed at all times to maintain food safety standards
- Help with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
- Serve customers efficiently by supporting the food service process and ensuring orders are accurate and timely
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment for staff and customers
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food safety protocols
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Understanding of proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Great teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
- Familiarity with customer services and supporting meal presentation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
