We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machinery, with a strong understanding of Fanuc controls. This role involves producing high-quality components while following blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Shift Schedule
- Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM; Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements.
- Operate and make adjustments using Fanuc controls, including troubleshooting and correcting machine issues as required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Use CAD software and CNC programming knowledge to support machining operations.
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning CNC machines and keeping equipment in proper working condition.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure finished components meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all workplace safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC milling and lathe machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with Fanuc controls is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience using calipers and other precision measurement tools for quality control.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic math skills for measurements and machining calculations.
- Hoist experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is required.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Controlled Goods assessment and police background check.
