What this challenge is about
Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit, the intern helps develop the department’s data analysis practices and assists with special projects. He or she works with internal audit team members as well as managers within the company, its subsidiaries and partners. Main responsibilities include the following:
In collaboration with the IT Department, develop solutions (scripts) for data analysis and coordinate data extraction from source systems;
Conduct data analysis for a variety of department projects in order to identify risk areas, anomalies and trends and reinforce findings;
Use data visualization techniques (e.g., Power BI) to present information in an accessible and compelling way;
Help with special projects and initiatives related to department tools, methodologies and practices;
Assist managers with various department tasks.
What we’re looking for
Enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program in IT, management, business administration, finance, accounting or another field combining quantitative analysis and business knowledge;
In-depth knowledge of the techniques and tools of data analysis and visualization (Excel, IDEA, Power BI, etc.);
Education or experience in real estate or real estate financing, an asset;
Interest in process optimization, internal controls and risk management;
Excellent command of written and spoken French and English;
Strong communication skills;
Self-motivated, disciplined and intellectually curious team player with a go-getter attitude.
