What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll join our Product Analytics team reporting into the Director, Client Knowledge & Insights. As a Business Consultant, you’ll support all Personal & Business Banking (P&BB) data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets. You’ll focus on ensuring adherence to the data governance policies and procedures and have a direct impact on the business by helping to implement and maintain business processes for successful data governance and quality within P& BB.
How You’ll Succeed
Data Governance – Support the classification of data elements and identification of critical data elements. Maintain inventory of P&BB applications and data governance roles. Maintain a list of roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets in accordance with Enterprise Data Governance policies. Support the remediation of data governance deficiencies across P&BB. Contribute towards ongoing data quality improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Adherence - Monitor performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements. Monitor adherence to data policies across the organization to ensure availability of high-quality data, consultative and subject matter expertise, ensuring all users of data understand policies, procedures and standards.
Project Management – Responsible for the execution of work streams under our data governance project and the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of data governance activities to ensure that P&BB remains in compliance. Assist to roll out P&BB wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture. Contribute to successful completion of data governance project deliverables. Participate in project and team meetings, interact and collaborate with team members and other departments as appropriate
Who You Are
You can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience in supporting enterprise wide data governance including measuring/monitoring data quality, recommending improvements in data, data classification and data governance capabilities. You have 2 years’ experience working with Personal Banking products including the experience and knowledge of data governance in a cross-functional environment of multiple data sources/repositories. It’s recommended that you have at least one year of experience in process engineering.
You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
You can be clearly understood. You have very strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present information to groups and individuals at all levels in the organization.
