Retail Store Associate – Perfume, Gift Shop & Canada Post

About the Job
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at our Vancouver retail store.
Our store offers a unique combination of Middle Eastern perfumes, gift items, and Canada Post services. The successful candidate will be comfortable assisting customers, making sales, handling transactions, and learning about our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist customers in selecting perfumes and gift items
- Learn and confidently explain different perfume fragrances and products
- Operate the cash register and process payments
- Handle Canada Post transactions and assist customers with postal services
- Receive, organize, and display merchandise
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store
- Answer customer questions in person and by phone
- Assist with opening/closing duties and general store operations
- Help maintain inventory and restock products
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and cash-handling skills
- Willingness to learn about perfumes and Canada Post services
- Ability to handle a busy retail environment
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including some weekends
