Mida Landscaping is seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Installer / Crew Lead to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial landscape construction projects throughout the Edmonton area and are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
Compensation
- $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Overtime available
- Full-time seasonal position with opportunity for long-term employment
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a landscape installation crew, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to the highest quality standards. This individual must be capable of managing staff, communicating effectively with clients, and working closely with management to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct landscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects
- Install hardscape and landscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, grading, sod, trees, shrubs, and decorative landscaping
- Operate skid steers and other landscape construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Coordinate daily work activities and ensure projects remain on schedule
- Monitor labour, equipment, and material usage to maximize profitability
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Communicate professionally with clients and address questions or concerns on-site
- Report project progress, challenges, and profitability updates to management
- Train and mentor crew members while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of landscape installation experience
- Proven experience leading landscape construction crews
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods and best practices
- Experience operating skid steers and related equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing landscape construction duties
