Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and efficiently preparing and serving beverages. This role requires a strong knowledge of beverage handling, excellent time management, and the ability to operate POS systems. The Bartender will play a key role in ensuring guests have a memorable experience while maintaining food safety standards and adhering to responsible alcohol service policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve cocktails and drinks according to house recipes, including classic and modern Peruvian cocktails.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with drink selections, offering recommendations when appropriate
- Oversee bar inventory (spirits, mixers, garnishes, and bar tools), including stock rotation, ordering, and loss control.
- Create and manage house‑made syrups (simple syrups, infused syrups, herbal syrups, etc.) and other advanced bar preparations.
- Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS operations (if applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal requirements
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders when applicable
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing friendly, attentive service to all guests
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in restaurants or bars (experience in Latin/Peruvian cuisine is an asset).
- Strong knowledge of mixology, classic and contemporary cocktails, and house‑made syrups.
- Experience in inventory management, portion control, and ordering supplies.
- Comfortable working full‑time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to the restaurant schedule.
- Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
