Position Highlights
We are the Distribution Lines Capital Portfolio within BC Hydro’s Program and Contract Management group. We are
responsible for delivering $200 million in distribution infrastructure maintenance and replacements every year. We replace
end-of-life overhead and underground assets including underground cable, switchgear, transformers, civil infrastructure,
poles, and automation equipment.
We work with stakeholders across the organization including Asset Management, Engineering, Standards, Field Operations,
Indigenous Relations, Customer Relations, and more to plan, build, and execute our work.

Lines team has a full time regular assignment that may be the right fit for you.
This position is focused on delivering for the Overhead portfolio.
What you'll do
You will lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of the work. You’ll be responsible for progress monitoring, reporting,
forecasting, problem solving and escalation. You will manage a program portfolio with an annual capital budget of up to $30
million. You will contribute to the success of this work, Program and Contract Management, and BC.
- Plan, execute, and deliver a program or subset of programs in support of the Distribution Lines Capital portfolio targets.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data with strong analytical skills to drive strategic decision-making.
- Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and delivery of programs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Foresee, assess, manage, and escalate program risks or roadblocks during execution.
- Identify and implement innovative and efficient process improvements.
What you bring
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant work
experience may be considered.
- Have at least 5 years of project, program, and/or contract management experience.
- Proven experience managing $5M+ budgets.
