Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming dining experience for all guests. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed in all aspects of food handling and serving
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup as needed in the kitchen area
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations including cashiering, serving, and guest services
