About Us
Strathmore Remedy'sRx Pharmacy is a locally owned community pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional patient care to Strathmore and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Intern to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
Working under the supervision of our licensed pharmacists, you will:
- Assist with prescription processing, data entry, dispensing, packaging, compounding, and labelling.
- Provide patient education and counselling on prescription and over-the-counter medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Support medication inventory management and ordering.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with professional standards.
- Participate in patient care activities and pharmaceutical care planning.
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries.
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), or eligible for registration.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.
- Previous Canadian community pharmacy experience is an asset.
