Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team at Taylor Oilfield Services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our high safety standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This position is vital to our mission of providing safe and efficient services in the oilfield. The Job will include 50% Office Time & 50% Field Work.
Responsibilities as Follows but not Limited to:
- Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on safety policies and procedures.
- Assess heavy equipment operators and drivers on various pieces of equipment and be able to review, analyze and sign off on their capabilities.
- Administer the site's Safety Program daily.
- Develop and maintain the required Job Hazard Analysis, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Procedures and ensure they are distributed to the necessary Client / Customer personnel and then filed in the appropriate locations for employer and employee access.
- Review work sites, equipment, procedures and practices with the intention of identifying and correcting hazards as per COR
- Identify, deliver and administer all required safety training for supervisors and employees.
- Post all Safety bulletins, Safety Posters and Safety rules and Regulations.
- Assist Safety Manager with incident investigations, analysis and preparation of accident reports and summaries.
- Ensure that all pertinent safety reports are submitted as required.
- Prepare a description of identified unsafe conditions and the steps taken to correct these conditions.
- Prepare and carry out field safety Inspections and meetings on a regular basis as per COR
- Ensure that corrective action has been taken whenever deficiencies are identified as per COR
- Conduct new hire and site orientations for new site employees including contractors.
- Undertake other duties as requested from time to time by the Safety Manager.
- Work in compliance of the client’s policies and procedures.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
- Uphold safety policies and promote safety awareness through day-to-day attitudes and actions.
- Provide guidance and direction to employees with respect to Taylor Oilfield Services policies and procedures.
- Attend and contribute to all shop, site and committee meetings.
- Ensure all employees are Fit for Duty.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a safety coordination role, preferably in the oilfield or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the oil and gas sector a min of 3 Years.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to develop effective training materials and programs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Have some knowledge of vac, water, heavy equipment and operation
- Must be local resident or willing to relocate
- Must be able to meet site clearances including D&A, orientations and training courses.
- NSCO preferred
- Auditor ticket required

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
