Socialē Enoteca Ristorante is a vibrant Italian wine bar and tapas-style restaurant located on Penticton’s beautiful Okanagan Lakefront along the Sunset Strip Boardwalk. Our kitchen serves Italian-inspired small and large plates from lunch through late night, paired with a curated wine program featuring Okanagan and international selections.
In addition to daily service, Socialē hosts private events, catering, wine dinners, and seasonal culinary experiences.
We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Job Description
The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and passionate about food. You will work alongside the Chef and kitchen team to prepare high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute creatively to features and future menu items while growing your skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Socialē’s standards
- Complete daily prep and ensure your station is organized and ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization
- Communicate effectively with the Chef and kitchen team
- Follow recipes and direction while contributing ideas when appropriate
- Create and maintain prep lists and station order lists
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Maintain a respectful and positive attitude with team members and guests
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience required
- Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Requirements
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification
- Valid Canadian work permit
