Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages. The Barista will play a vital part in ensuring our customers have a positive experience from the moment they walk in until their visit concludes.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Handle food safety and food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy in basic math and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light food items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space throughout shifts
- Ensure timely service by managing time effectively during busy periods
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety of all products served
Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability in customer service, serving, and food preparation roles
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
