Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in plumbing and pipefitting. As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on experience and learning essential skills necessary for success in the field.
Duties
- Assist with Installation of Piping Systems:
- Water supply, drainage, stormwater, heating systems, gas lines, compressed air lines, and process piping.Work with various materials: copper, cast iron, PVC, carbon steel, stainless steel. Assist with setting slopes, hangers, and supports for large-diameter piping.
- Help with removal, repair, and replacement of existing piping and fixtures during plant or facility shutdowns.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings:
- Learn to read mechanical blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Understand mechanical plans for new builds, renovations, and tenant improvements.
- Supporting Equipment Installation:
- Help install commercial fixtures, pumps, valves, water heaters, backflow preventers, and mechanical room equipment.
- Assisting Journeypersons:
- Work alongside experienced plumbers and pipefitters and other trades to gain hands-on learning.
- Prep tools, materials, and workspace.
- Tool and Material Handling:
- Measure, cut, and thread pipes.
- Maintain an organized work area, manage tools, and handle safe storage of materials.
- Follow all safety protocols on construction sites, including PPE and fall protection.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments.

Qualifications
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for plumbing tasks
- Basic understanding of construction principles
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and components
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with maintenance and assembly tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$40.16 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
