Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall operations of the dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist in patient examinations and record keeping using dental software such as Abeldent
- Support the dental team with procedures related to orthodontics, pediatrics, or other specialties as required
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure infection control standards are met
- Manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and billing inquiries with excellent customer service skills
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care
Skills
- Proficiency with Abeldent or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations
- Experience in dental assisting or working within a dental office environment
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
