We're the team behind @eatcouver, a Vancouver food account with 100k+ followers, built over the last decade.
We help local restaurants grow by creating viral content for their socials, and coordinating for creators to visit the restaurants to do the same.
When creator coordination is done well, it creates a flywheel: more creators want to visit, our restaurant partners grow, and the local food community wins. That's where you come in.
What the work looks like:
- You'll build relationships with local food and lifestyle creators over Instagram DM, and coordinate their visits to our partner restaurants.
- Templates and standard operating procedures are your foundation, but conversations are dynamic; no two are alike. The real skill is making each conversation personal, so creators have a great enough experience that they genuinely want to come back.
- On any given day, you might be crafting a personalized opener, following up with someone who went quiet, scheduling a visit, or sending pre-visit details — all tracked in Google Sheets and Google Calendar.
- You'll use AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to refine your messaging and work smarter over time.
You're the right fit if:
- You enjoy building relationships. You naturally remember details, follow up genuinely, and treat creators like people, not part of a pipeline.
- You're fluent in English, with clean grammar and punctuation.
- You're a fast typist (60 WPM minimum — you can test yourself with a free tool like Monkeytype).
- You can write in a personable, human-like way, not like a template is being pasted.
- You can shift tone depending on who you're messaging.
- You are aware of basic principles in behavioural psychology and understand how message timing, structure, and framing influence responses. You use this knowledge to create opportunities that genuinely benefit both the creator and the restaurant.
- You're based in Metro Vancouver and know the food scene.
- You use AI to work smarter, not as a crutch, and are always looking for ways to automate the mundane to focus on what moves the needle.
- You can manage dozens of active conversations, spreadsheets, and calendars simultaneously without letting things slip through the cracks.
- You follow detailed processes closely, but you also think critically about them and will communicate when you believe a process can be improved.
- You have a growth mindset. You’re open to feedback, love learning, and are eager to contribute to a growing company.
Room to Grow
Creator outreach is the starting point, not the ceiling. This role grows with you, based on the initiative you take. Over time, it could evolve into coordinating in-person events and building a local creator community. A community that genuinely helps creators in our network grow their accounts — which would in turn, help our restaurant partners grow too.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting rate: $25/hr + $5 bonus per creator visit you coordinate. It's reasonable to make $30–35/hr once you're efficient at the role.
- ~10 hours/week to start, flexible schedule, fully remote.
- If you're an A-player who delivers real value and takes initiative beyond the primary role, compensation will grow with you.
- We're looking for someone to grow with us, and that means we won't be above you: you'll be a part of the team.
