About the Organization Tenom Technologies (www.tenom.ca) is a national IT managed services provider delivering cost-efficient, high-quality technology solutions to clients across Canada. Backed by a leading private equity investor, the company is entering its next phase of growth focused on scale, operational maturity, and long-term client value.
Our success is built on strong, trusted client relationships, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to first-class client care.
Why This Role Exists
Tenom's value to clients depends on the quality of what we recommend — and that starts with a strong technical foundation. Our vCIOs and Customer Success Managers are relationship-driven and strategically focused, but they need a dedicated technical partner who can run discoveries, scope work accurately, and ensure client environments actually meet the Tenom standard across infrastructure, security, and policies. This role exists to close that gap — grounding our recommendations in technical reality, making complex environments legible to both the team and the client, and keeping clients ahead of what's coming.
Who We Need - Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Technical Assessment
-
Complete ITSF (IT Success Formula) discoveries to build a comprehensive picture of each client's environment — infrastructure, applications, security, and alignment to business objectives
-
Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities against the Tenom standard
-
Join scoping calls to vet potential work, define the outcome being delivered, and clarify what a project actually requires
Client Environment Maintenance
-
Own the ongoing health and documentation of client-managed assets, keeping endpoints, network devices, and infrastructure patched, configured, and accounted for
-
Measure and ensure the client environment meets the Tenom standards through evaluation and implementation of patches, configurations, policies, etc...
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring tickets to surface underlying issues before they compound
-
Identify trends across the client base and partner with the Service Delivery Manager to implement preventive measures and improve service delivery
Roadmap & Investment Input
-
Translate the technical picture into roadmap recommendations the CSM and vCIO can stand behind — covering feasibility, sequencing, and alignment to the Tenom operating model
-
Collaborate with vCIOs on IT strategy and provide input on budgeting and investment prioritization
-
Help clients understand the real financial impact of their technology decisions
Standards & Continuous Improvement
-
Proactively identify where clients are falling behind and develop strategies to close the gap

Stay current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and compliance requirements to keep clients ahead of what's coming
