Our Client BI-AX International Inc. is seeking a Slitter-Assistant/Packager for their biodegradable plastic packaging facility in Wingham Ontario
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK
BI-AX International Inc. is a Canadian owned company that manufacturers environmentally friendly plastic packaging.
Slitter-Assistant/Packager
All new employees will start at the same entry level position.
- Assists Slitter Operator in the operation of the slitter
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Operates lab computer for data input
- Trains on the operation of winders and slitter for production
- Helps the production line in processing a web through the equipment
- Ensures packaging area is maintained through good housekeeping
Added experience an asset
- Experience in shift work
- Experience in factory work
Potential Worksite Hazards:
- Handling sharp parts
- Bending and lifting
- Warmer environment in summer months
- Lifting over 50 lbs.
Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts
Monday to Thursday - 1 week Days - 8:00am to 8:00pm - 44 hrs
Monday to Thursday - 1 week Nights - 8:00pm to 8:00am - 33 hrs
