Hours/Shift: Monday to Saturday, Morning Shift, Some OT may be required
Wage: $15.50/hr
Inspired produces innovative, fresh and healthy, ready-to-eat items for Canadian retail and Foodservice companies. Our state-of-the-art processing facility, use of premium ingredients, and chef inspired recipes has elevated fresh-cut to the next level. We are a dynamic & forward thinking company looking to expand our current product offering. We will continue to create new Inspired items for the Canadian market.
Focus
The primary focus of the Production Line Worker is to ensure production targets are met in a timely fashion, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. It is a valuable part of our production team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work on the fresh produce production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Safely perform work with knives and other kitchen utensils; cutting, peeling, scooping, etc.
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Maintain productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices which includes observing all policies and procedures and following all written and verbal instruction
- Operate machinery correctly and safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all sanitation processes and procedures
- Report deviations of equipment and utensil condition
- Report quality concerns or foreign material in the raw material, work in progress or finished product
- Notify management of any actual or potential food safety issues
- Regularly stack of pallets weighing up to 40lbs
- Wrap pallets of finished packed product
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Previous food handling experience is an asset but not required
- Experience cutting with knives considered an asset
- First aid training considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Work is performed indoors in a food processing environment that is maintained at 2 degrees celcius
- Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
- Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends, evenings and holidays) may be required
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing
- Ability to grasp, manipulate, move, and assemble objects
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 40lbs
- Frequent walking
- Occasional handling of cleaning tools
