Position Summary:
McGill’s Black Inclusion, Success and Strategic Initiatives (BISSI) is seeking an undergraduate student Research Assistant to support a curriculum review project focused on Black Studies offerings across North American universities. This role will involve conducting comparative research to better understand how peer institutions structure and deliver Black Studies programs.
The insights generated through this work will inform internal discussions about potential opportunities to strengthen and expand Black Studies-related academic offerings at McGill University.
Reporting to the BISSI’s Associate Director, the Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting a structured environmental scan and comparative analysis of Black Studies programs across post-secondary institutions. The role involves gathering, organizing, and analyzing information on program design and curriculum models, and synthesizing findings into clear, actionable outputs that can support strategic academic planning.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at McGill, preferably in the humanities, social sciences, education, or a related field
