Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of residential properties. In this role, you will lead site teams, support Boards of Directors, and ensure properties are well-maintained, financially sound, and provide excellent service to residents.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in property operations, financial oversight, and staff management who thrives in a collaborative and community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop annual operating and capital budgets
- Review monthly financial statements and provide clear reporting to the Board
- Monitor arrears, ensure timely deposits, and oversee accounts payable
- Ensure spending aligns with company policies and approved budgets
- Track financial performance and support deficit reduction plans where required
Leadership & Human Resources
- Lead, supervise, and support on-site staff
- Conduct hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures
- Address employee concerns and foster strong team communication
- Ensure health and safety standards, including WHMIS requirements, are met
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily operations across all properties within the portfolio
- Conduct regular property visits and inspections
- Prepare and distribute Board packages, meeting agendas, and reports
- Coordinate resident services including move-ins, move-outs, and inquiries
- Ensure compliance with RGI regulations, fire safety plans, and building standards
- Manage contracts, legal correspondence, and special projects
Maintenance & Property Care
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and building inspections
- Coordinate contractors and supervise maintenance work
- Ensure repairs and projects are completed efficiently and to standard
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized properties
Community Engagement
- Work with Boards and committees to support community initiatives and events
- Foster positive relationships with residents, tenants, and stakeholders
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community environment
Qualifications
Education
- College diploma or university degree
- Institute of Housing Management (IHM) certification considered an asset
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of property management or equivalent management experience
Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Strong financial and budgeting knowledge
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Valid Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
