Meta Steel Buildings Inc. is seeking an organized and proactive Construction Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of our construction projects.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, customers, and municipalities to ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, compliant, and financially controlled.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track construction projects from pre-construction through completion, including schedules, milestones, deliverables, and project documentation.
- Track the financial performance of projects, including budgets, committed costs, purchase orders, invoices, change orders, expenses, and overall project costs.
- Coordinate communication between project managers, site teams, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and municipalities.
- Track permits, approvals, inspections, drawings, revisions, deficiencies, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor site progress to ensure work aligns with schedules, approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate procurement, subcontractors, material deliveries, and other project resources.
- Identify potential delays, cost concerns, and project risks and assist in resolving them.
- Support project reporting, customer updates, documentation, and project closeout.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a similar role.
- College diploma or university degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Good understanding of construction processes, drawings, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Contractor Foreman or other construction/project management software is preferred.
Preferred
Experience in commercial, industrial, pre-engineered steel, or metal building construction is an asset.
