We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including giving change and processing refunds
- Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Communicate clearly with customers using phone etiquette when necessary
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing products as needed
- Uphold organizational skills to keep the checkout area clean and orderly
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Multilingual skills or bilingual abilities (especially in English) are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures are advantageous
- Strong communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role
- Experience in technology sales or product demos can be beneficial for upselling opportunities
