Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to manufacturing environments.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead training sessions on safety procedures, emergency response, and best practices to ensure all staff are well-equipped.
- Investigate incidents or accidents thoroughly, document findings, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and ongoing projects.
- Stay up-to-date with local regulations and industry standards related to health and safety compliance.
- Promote a safety-first culture by engaging employees at all levels and encouraging open communication about safety concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing (food preferred) setting with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development to effectively educate teams on health and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and standards applicable to manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication skills for clear instruction, reporting, and collaboration across departments.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement.
