Line Cook
Location: The Belvedere Hotel – Kingston, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Wage: $19–$22 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Afternoons, evenings, weekends, and events as required
About the Role
The Belvedere is seeking a Line Cook to support day-to-day kitchen operations. This
role is focused on executing the menu with consistency and attention to detail, ensuring
every dish meets our standards during lounge service, events, and private bookings.
This is a hands-on, service-driven role suited to someone who takes pride in their work,
thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands how strong execution contributes
to the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Execution & Quality
- Execute menu items consistently during all services (lounge, events, private bookings)
- Maintain accuracy in plating, portioning, and timing
- Ensure quality and consistency during both regular service and higher-volume periods
- Maintain focus and organization during service to support smooth kitchen flow
Kitchen Operations & Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams during service
- Follow direction from kitchen leadership and contribute to overall team execution
- Communicate clearly and efficiently during service
Prep, Organization & Cleanliness
- Complete daily prep tasks to ensure readiness for service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Assist with inventory awareness and communicate low stock to leadership
Events & Special Services
- Support execution of menus for events, group bookings, and buyouts
- Adapt to different service styles (plated, shared, multi-course)
- Assist in maintaining timing and flow during events
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality execution
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and events
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
