Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and engage with diverse customers. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. The Food Server plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of service, upselling menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and guest support
- Maintain time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and managing transactions
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in hospitality or the food industry enhances ability to upsell menu items and provide exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
