Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Mine Production Supervisor will be a part of a greater team of Mine Production Supervisors and will be responsible to manage and supervise a production crew of Mine Operators.

Key Tasks:
Role model accountability, integrity, and respect in all interactions.
Demonstrate safety leadership in alignment with Nutrien’s 3 key safety principles.
Lead quality toolbox and safety meetings.
Engage operators in safe work conversations at the mining face and promote hazard identification and mitigation.
Provide regular feedback to direct reports, co-workers and leaders on their performance.
Set clear and achievable production goals for each shift. Adjust shift goals when unexpected issues arise.
Create an inclusive environment where all employees, regardless of their differences, can contribute to their full potential.
Listen and act on feedback from direct reports that will continuously improve safety or productivity.
Ensure direct reports have access to proper training at the right time by coordinating with the training team.
Ensure work areas meet OH&S regulations and document all mining activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated ability to lead through the principle of engaging people.
Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills such as typing, working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP is an asset.
Self starter able to work with minimal supervision

Strong passion for safety.

High School Diploma. Post secondary education is an asset.

Supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential.

As required by the Mines Regulations, minimum of 3 years of mining experience or a degree in mining or related technical disciplines and one year of mining experience.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
