The Accounts Payable Associate role is to manage timely and accurate accounting and reporting of all expenses relating to travel and entertainment in accordance with company policies. Process in detail the expenditures of employee travel expenses paid through employee reimbursement, corporate and company credit cards.

Reconcile employee expense reports by verifying entries and processing system reports;
Verify employee company credit card reports against system reports and account transactions;
Validate corporate credit card expenditures with travel reports;
Allocate expenses to accounts and cost centres by analyzing and recording entries;
Process all invoices related to travel costs;
Develop, implement and maintain systems and reports, procedures and policies, related to business travel expenses;
Report weekly/monthly status for various travel expenses;
Assist in month-end closing;
Protect organization's value for confidentiality.

5 years of Accounts Payable experience in the retail industry is an asset;
Experience working with employee expenses and in a multi-currency environment;
DEC in accounting, finance, or related field preferred;
Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax implications of any kind of transactions;
Must have strong work ethics;
Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable;
Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential;
High aptitude with computer systems, MS Dynamics Great Plains finance system is an asset;
Possess strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to support, train, and coach colleagues;
Problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, data analysis and multitasking;
Strong communication skills to provide excellent service with internal clients and management.
