We are currently seeking a highly motivated and competent individual to join our Saint John, NB location as a Receptionist/Processor to provide excellent customer service to clients, business partners and general public. As an integral member of the team, you will be the face of the company/branch, adding to the professionalism of the office by bringing the highest level of expertise in administrative skills and demonstrating a superior level of customer service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reception
- Answer all incoming calls, transfer calls and/or take messages;
- Greet customers, vendors and business partners and provide customer service;
- Take customer payments and create receipts;
- Prepare and make daily bank deposit;
- Enter data into broker/company interface;
- Receive all incoming/outgoing faxes and distribute them;
- Open, sort, and distribute mail;
- Scan claims opening/closing notices – assign to Claims department;
- Scan/attach daily mail, re-abeyance to Account Managers;
- Liability cards;
- Maintain A-Bill renewal holding folder;
- Maintain office supplies;
Processor
- Enter information into the Insurance Company database as per policy change form requested by Broker
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documents verifying that all questions have been answered from the policy change request;
- Transact billing to customers
- Prepare policy documents and invoices to be sent to client;
- Review documents/transactions as per requested by accounting dept.;
- Review accounts receivable sending out customer statements when needed;
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Administrative work & Customer Service;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience in Processing considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Able to pass a criminal record check;
- Willing to study and take CAIB 1 exam;
- Strong attention to details;
- Self-starter, highly motivated, client focused and team player.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Employees work a 35 hour work week (Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
