Welder/Fitter

The Opportunity:
Join our expanding team as a Welder/Fitter, where you'll play a crucial role in fabricating and weld metal components for various steel products and structures. Candidates must be physically fit and able to maneuver parts and equipment in a Metal Manufacturing Environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and fabricate metal components based on blueprints and specifications.
- Assemble and weld metal parts using various welding techniques.
- Interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Set up welding equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections.
- Perform weld repairs and modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain welding equipment.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in welding would be preferred
- Excellent welding skills with the ability to produce high quality welds
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certification preferred.
- Experience in steel manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Understand safety policies and procedures.
