Role Summary: As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating scheduling and work orders to ensure a smooth production flow. This role includes coordinating order entry and material requirements planning to support production needs while maintaining effective inventory control for finished goods. You will also serve as the ISO Lead Auditor, coordinating internal audits and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Additionally, you will provide general support for production tasks as needed. This position requires a strong understanding of raw materials, production methods, and capacity, as well as familiarity with the policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities.
Duties:
- Handling all orders and order inquiries, entering them into the system for production review
- Requisitioning raw materials based on order requirements
- Assisting Physical Distribution with material needs and striving for just-in-time inventory
- Preparing and issuing the weekly production schedule in consultation with the Production Manager
- Attending weekly scheduling meetings to compile delivery requirements and preparing the production schedule
- Maintaining ISO documents and data
- Coordinating and overseeing internal audits, and reporting on findings
- Scheduling new work orders and verifying the open purchase order report against the schedule
- Arranging for samples to be processed alongside similar products
- Processing orders from Kuri Tec Corp. via Electronic Data Interface, completing purchase orders, running MRP reports, and releasing orders to the schedule
- Organizing, inputting, and printing production and compound reports
- The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for effectively communicating with the sales team and other relevant personnel to ensure alignment of production schedules and promptly relaying any schedule changes
- Coordinating and assisting with month-end inventory
Requirements:
- Completion of College or University program in business, economics, or supply chain management is required
- 3+ years of direct experience in scheduling within a manufacturing environment is required
- Proven knowledge of plastic and polymer materials to support efficient, stable production operations
- Experience in supporting continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives in a production environment
- ISO audit certification or proven experience participating in ISO-compliant audits
- Experience with MRP for capacity planning and production line loading
- Ensuring proper material availability, managing inventory levels, optimizing production schedules, and maintaining data accuracy for BOMs and lead times
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applicable software applications (including Epicor CMS), with proven working knowledge of IBM CP/CMS operating systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively with other departments
- Forklift certification is required
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Experience with inventory control
