Highrise Glass Ltd. is looking for motivated and reliable Window Installers and Window Installer Helpers to join our growing team. We specialise in commercial glass and window installation, mostly on high-rise buildings.
Position: Window Installer / Window Installer Helper
Employment Type: Full-time
Wage: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications
Location: Lower Mainland, BC
Duties & Responsibilities
Window Installer
● Install windows, IGUs, window walls, and related glazing systems.
● Remove and replace existing windows and glass units.
● Perform interior and exterior glazing and sealing work.
● Apply silicone, sealants, glazing tapes, and other related materials.
● Read and follow drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
● Measure openings and verify dimensions before installation.
● Safely handle and transport glass and window units.
● Work from lifts, scaffolding, swing stages, and other access equipment when required.
● Maintain a clean and organized work area.
● Follow all company and WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
● Communicate professionally with supervisors, customers, contractors, and other trades.
Window Installer Helper
● Assist installers with window and glass installation and removal.
● Help with loading, unloading, transporting, and positioning glass and materials.
● Prepare openings and work areas for installation.
● Assist with sealing, caulking, glazing, and cleanup.
● Maintain tools, equipment, and job-site cleanliness.
● Follow instructions from lead installers and supervisors.
● Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
● Previous window, glass, glazing, or construction experience is an asset.
● Experience with commercial high-rise window installation is an asset for installer positions.
● Ability to safely lift and handle glass and window units.
● Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
● Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
● Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
● Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
● Fall Protection, WHMIS, Aerial Lift, or other relevant safety certifications are an asset.
● Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
