A Senior Licensed Hairstylist is an experienced beauty professional responsible for delivering advanced hair services, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the growth and success of the salon. This role requires expert-level technical skills, creativity, professionalism, and leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced hair services including precision cutting, coloring, balayage, highlights, blonding, styling, extensions, chemical treatments, and color correction
- Conduct detailed client consultations to assess hair condition, goals, and service expectations
- Develop customized color formulas and corrective color plans while maintaining hair integrity
- Provide expert recommendations on hair care, maintenance, and professional products
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and education in coloring and styling services
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, safety, and customer care
- Build and retain a loyal clientele through exceptional service and professionalism
- Mentor and support junior stylists and apprentices when required
- Manage appointments efficiently while delivering high-quality results
- Promote salon retail products and professional treatments
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented salon environment
Qualifications
- Valid hairstylist/cosmetology license
- Several years of salon experience in cutting and advanced color services
- Strong expertise in balayage, blonding, toning, and color correction
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Leadership or mentoring experience is considered an asset
