Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in team management and customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent store performance through effective leadership and operational oversight. The Team Leader will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Conduct employee orientation, training, and development to enhance team performance.
- Oversee onboarding processes for new staff.
- Manage daily store operations including inventory control, merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies.
- Supervise cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and payroll processing.
- Monitor retail math to ensure accurate sales tracking and financial reporting.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth store operations during all business hours.
- Handle purchasing decisions and manage vendor relationships for inventory procurement.
- Maintain organizational standards through effective stock management, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Assist with budgeting, sales management, and strategic planning to optimize store performance.
Skills
- Strong leadership qualities with proven supervising experience in retail or similar environments.
- Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement.
- Demonstrated expertise in retail sales management, merchandising, marketing strategies, and store management.
- Skilled in retail math for pricing and sales analysis; experienced in budgeting and financial oversight.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing inventory control, stock replenishment, and administrative duties.
- Experience in training & development programs aimed at enhancing team skills and productivity.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
