Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety, and delivering excellent food service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, a passion for cooking, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of shortages
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cooking, and kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve customers professionally with excellent communication skills
- Experience in meal preparation and food industry practices is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to kitchen routines
- Prior kitchen experience or restaurant experience is highly desirable
