Summary
We are seeking a Summer Soccer Coach to join our team . This role is vital in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and community engagement among youth during the summer months. The ideal candidate will help foster a positive environment that aligns with our mission to empower and uplift our community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize engaging soccer activities for children and youth during the summer.
- Teach basic soccer skills, rules, and sportsmanship.
- Promote teamwork, fair play, and positive attitudes among participants.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during activities.
- Collaborate with community members and staff to create an inclusive environment.
- Encourage healthy competition and personal development.
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper use during sessions.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in Post Secondary or will be attending next year
- experience in coaching or teaching sports, particularly soccer reccommended
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage young people.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to sports activities.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Passion for community service and youth development.
- Experience working with diverse communities is preferred.
