B&J is an E-Commerce warehousing & fulfillment company in GTA. With the new 50,000+ sf warehouse's putting into use in Mississauga, the company is expanding Asia markets to provide their industry-leading cross-border warehousing and logistics solutions. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations .
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and analyze accounting reports for all entities monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Perform monthly bank and G/L reconciliations, ensuring general ledger integrity and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Prepare timely filing of all government tax returns HST/GST/PST, corporate tax ,etc.
- Monitor and design appropriate AP/AR procedures based on the business process
- Perform payroll processing and ensure compliance
- Train and supervise team members
- Engage with external advisors to ensure accounting/ tax matters properly understood and filed
- Support the internal and external audit processes
- Other accounting tasks as assigned.
Knowledge& Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Over 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience working in Logistics/transportation industry preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- High level of integrity
- Strong communication skills
- Mandarin speaking prefered
