About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative at Boast, you’ll play a key role in helping innovative companies access funding for the research and development work they are already doing.
This is an outbound sales role focused on identifying and engaging companies that fit Boast’s ideal customer profile. You’ll research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and use a mix of email, phone, LinkedIn, and other outreach methods to create qualified sales opportunities.
You’ll connect with founders, CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, finance leaders, and technical stakeholders to understand how they currently approach R&D tax credits, uncover business challenges, and introduce how Boast can help reduce administrative burden, improve claim confidence, and unlock non-dilutive funding.
This is not a role where you simply work through a call list. You’ll be expected to think critically about your accounts, personalize your outreach, manage activity through Boast’s sales tools and CRM, test messaging, follow up consistently, and create a strong handoff experience for the sales team.
This role is a strong fit for someone early in their sales career who wants to build strong outbound sales fundamentals in a complex, high-value B2B market. You’ll do well here if you are coachable, resilient, curious, organized, comfortable with high activity, and motivated by the challenge of turning research and outreach into meaningful sales conversations.
Location: Hybrid role, based in Toronto OR Vancouver
In-person collaboration: Expected to work from the Vancouver OR Toronto office at least once per week
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commission structure
