Position: Scheduling Coordinator, Temporary (12 months contract)
Location: Toronto – DOME Productions
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for booking crew in a timely and cost effective manner
Reporting to the Scheduling Manager and works closely and intimately with 1 other Scheduler – this position focusing on hiring qualified freelance television technicians best suited to our Client’s production needs
It is based on exact requirements laid out by our Production Managers
Liaise with Production Managers and Technical Producers to ensure the crewing of events is carried out as far in advance as possible. In addition, all travel related costs are kept to a minimum, as well as relayed to the appropriate people and departments in a timely manner
May assist with Crew Call Confirmations relaying all pertinent info about an event to all crew 72 hours prior to each event along with any and all pertinent covid protocols
Liaise with travel coordinator to ensure all travel is booked in a timely and efficient manner and to take advantage of all available savings
Is responsible for the overseeing our database of Freelancers as it relates to those
Who have valid Fall Arrest Certificates and follows up when certificates are expired
Follow and enforce Dome Productions current travel practices, as they relate to freelancers and full-time employees
Relay all pertinent information about Covid practices and protocols and follow up with Dome Self Declaration Forms prior to each event
Participate actively in developing and training new freelancers targeting potential candidates and arranging a Training program in the most cost effective fashion in order to develop a larger local pool of freelancers in our NHL markets
Input and maintain event related crew lists in computer system using the applicable (i.e., Vim Biz) software
Due to the 24 / 7 / 365 nature of our business, must be willing to address emergencies as they arise occasionally during off hours and on weekends
Treat all work related schedules and crewing related duties confidential, or in a manner deemed to be professional – in the context of Dome Productions privacy and operating policies
Minimum 2 years scheduling experience with a college diploma or university degree in television broadcasting
Proven ability to prioritize, manage and complete tasks effectively
Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and react quickly and efficiently to last minute changes
Excellent organization skills are essential to ensure all information is disseminated quickly and accurately

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
